Assam Police Syllabus 2020 - Apply Online for 173 Jail Warder Posts: State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) of Assam Police has issued a recruitment notification for filling up 173 posts of Jail Warder in the Prison Department, Assam.

Selection Process:-
Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respect will have to undergo the Physical Standard Tests (PST). It is test of candidates physical norms such as Height, Chest & Weight.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates Who Qualifying PST will be required to undergo PET. The PET Consists of the Following:

General English : Passage, Preposition, Correction of sentences, active passive voice, direct indirect sentences, Verbs/Tense/Non Finites, Punctuation, Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, Synonyms and Antonyms, Use of adjective, Compound preposition, Determiners, Use of pronouns.
General Awareness & General Knowledge :- History, Geography and Socio Economic development of West Bengal & India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.
Mental Ability/ Reasoning : Questions will be from topics- Analogies, Similarities, Differences, Space visualization, Problem solving, Analysis and Judgment, Decision-making, Visual memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationship, Concepts, Arithmetical reasoning, Verbal and figure classification, Arithmetical number series, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, Arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.
Elementary Mathematics :- The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.
General Science : Questions of General Science will include to test knowledge of matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who didn’t study science as a subject. It will Also Include the Knowledge of the Subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology form the level of 12th Standard
Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy: major wildlife sanctuary and national park, major rivers, irrigation planning, major tourism (forts, palaces, ancient notable and natural places, caves, mausoleum etc.) Major personalities of Assam (political, sportsmen, artist, administration, author, litterateur, social worker etc.)
Current Affairs : Current Events History, Sports, Geography, Culture, Economic Scene, Scientific Research & General Polity including Indian Constitution etc.
